We are a family of authors, as we have all written this book together in a family collaboration. We have been told this book is a memoir, as most of it is true to our family life with our dogs. Luke Monin was the catalyst for this book—he came home from school in 5th grade and said, “Mommy, we are writing a book.” He assigned us all our chapters to write, and we wrote this book as a family. Luke Monin works in TV and radio as well as continuing to write. Ethan Monin, at the time this book was originally published, was 5 years old. Now he is grown up and is a computer drafter. Matt Monin is a broadcast engineer working in TV and radio. He was not originally an animal lover, but was won over by our little dog, Lucky. Tracy Monin is the mother to two handsome young men and also the mother of two handsome hound dogs. She volunteers in the disability community and is writing future children’s books.
